What is the main application range of plant protection drones?

1. Flying at very low altitude. The best height for plant protection operations is about one meter above the tip of the crop. For low crops such as wheat in the seedling stage, the drone should fly at an altitude of two meters above the ground. The flying altitude accuracy should be in the decimeter level.

2. High precision straight flight. Plant protection operations must maintain a straight flight to ensure that there is no leakage or re-spraying. The accuracy of the flight level should be in the decimeter level.

3. Flying slowly and at a constant speed. The atomization effect of UAV plant protection is very good, and the efficacy is closely related to the speed of UAV. Generally, it should keep flying at a constant speed of 4 to 6 meters per second.

4. Super visual flight. The visual flight distance of the plant protection drone can only reach 200 meters. For a field with a width greater than 500 meters, it will be difficult to choose a take-off and landing dosing point, and it is impossible to operate in the middle of the field. From the perspective of plant protection operation efficiency, it is best to fly a UAV one round trip for one take-off and landing, and return to the starting point to add medicine. Plant protection operations must have super-visual flight capabilities, and the super-visual flight distance should be one-half of the total operating distance of the UAV.

5. Flying to avoid eye obstacles. For plant protection operations such as tall crops, fruit trees, and trees, the line of sight for visual flight operations is obstructed, and effective means of flight control must be available to avoid eye obstacles.

6. Fixed-point vertical take-off and landing. The terrain of the field is complex, and it is difficult to choose the dosing point. UAVs often take off and land in a narrow space, and there is no runway condition for takeoff and landing. They must have the ability to control vertical takeoff and landing at a fixed point.
